My recent experience with the Internship Experience UK Technology has allowed me to speak to an array of companies such as Lloyds Banking Group, PwC, Amazon and many more to understand and develop my skills for the work environment. We had a task to complete throughout this experience which was to explore sectors which could use technology to help them achieve Net Zero. I took the route of construction due to their overwhelming growth in SMEs in the UK.
This recent discovery of the “green premium” on products and utilities has sparked a deep inspiration within me to explore more innovative ways in which technology can assist companies in adopting greener practices while minimizing the burden of high green taxes. This revelation has ignited a determination to investigate and develop sustainable solutions that not only reduce environmental impact but also offer cost-effective alternatives for businesses striving to embrace sustainability. I aim to contribute to the advancement of greener routes that align economic interests with environmental stewardship, fostering a more sustainable future for industries worldwide.
